‘Climate change in Asia is falling hardest on poor and indigenous communities and Christian communicators should adopt the concept of ‘climate justice’ as they advocate for solutions.’ delegates said at a meeting of the World Association for Christian Communications Asia region. They said that churches should take a proactive stand on the issue by promoting awareness through traditional media and among congregations. Climate changes affecting Asians are melting Himalayan glaciers influencing available fresh water for crop irrigation and daily human use, especially in Pakistan and India. However, many people don't see a connection between faith and climate change. ‘For most of our local faith communities, climate justice is not a lens that we bring regularly to the reading of our sacred texts nor to our understanding of what it means to be faithful,’ was said in a keynote address.

Pray: that climate justice will become a popular and effective initiative in the wake of Pakistan’s floods. (Lev.19:10)

SAT-7: SAT-7 is celebrating 15 years of broadcasting Christian programmes across the Middle East and North Africa. The ministry started out as a single channel format but has enjoyed unexpected success over the years and now broadcasts SAT-7 Arabic, SAT-7 Pars, SAT-7 Kids and SAT-7 Turk. Until SAT-7's first transmission on 31 May 1996, fear of government reprisals meant the media had largely been out of bounds for the Arab Christian community. Rita El Mounayer, Executive Director for SAT-7's three Arabic channels sees a continuing hunger in the Middle East and North Africa for SAT-7's holistic and uplifting programming. ‘We're very excited about our shows and the people making them - people who want to make a real difference in the lives of our viewers,’ she said. The 15th anniversary coincides with the Arab Spring sweeping across the Middle East and North Africa.

Praise: God for the blessings that SAT-7 has brought to the Arab world. (Is.44:3)

Lebanon: Finding 'families of peace'

In small teams of three, Christian university students from Beirut are visiting residential communities to share practical life skills and their faith. They simply go from house to house, introducing themselves as students and explaining that they have prepared a seven-week mini-workshop on health and family values. Would the family like them to share this with them? It quickly becomes evident that they are Christians, but they have been welcomed to every home they have gone to so far! They are following the pattern Jesus suggested, when he taught how to enter new communities in Luke 10:5-9. In the communities in which they are sharing, these students are finding it takes about 7 weeks for families to be ready to read the Bible and learn about Jesus as their Saviour.

Praise: God for these Christian students and the message they bring. (Ez.33:30)

Even though Osama bin Laden is dead, the al-Qaeda terrorist group may be looking at expanding its war against the West. Accord to some terrorist experts, al-Qaeda may have its sights set on the North Caucasus region of Russia. One report indicates terrorists in the North Caucasus have been using radical Salafi Islam to recruit disgruntled youth who grew up on the battlefields of the two Chechen wars. According to the President of Russian Ministries Sergey Rakhuba, hide-out evidence has already been uncovered backing up these claims. According to Rukhuba, that means there is a spiritual battle under way for the souls of Russia's youth in the region. He says, ‘That's the strategy for al-Qaeda: to reach out to young people, to brainwash them in all those underground cells, to provide them with all kinds of false philosophies and encourage them to go and bring destruction into those communities.’

The pictures of the original 37 “most wanted” criminal leaders are attached below. Praise God that 20 have been removed. The second slide shows the faces of the 17 that now need to be brought to justice. Pray for the remaining 17 drug criminals whose faces appear in the next slide below that they will swiftly be brought to justice and that their cartels and networks will be broken up and come to an end during these coming months. Thanks for your ongoing prayers for victory in the battle for Mexico. The Lord is answering!

The Global Day of Prayer and the IPC have a rich and enduring relationship going back to September 2004 when Graham Power, GDOP chairman, and his associates approached the IPC with their vision to hold an international day of repentance and prayer for the world on Pentecost Sunday each year. Through their bold presentation, the IPC leadership caught the dream of seeing the GDOP reach every nation and decided to throw our lot in with them in order to make this vision happen. Many of the prayer leaders and networks associated with the IPC went all out to mobilize their nations and regions.

It has been worth it all to see what the Lord has done with this massive effort that literally hundreds of millions of believers have participated in, including virtually every country.  The GDOP team has done a truly outstanding job of sharing the vision, developing video and written resources and organizing international broadcasts with the help of God TV.  They are to be applauded and congratulated!

Now, the Lord who inspired and enabled it all will again be glorified to the ends of the earth on Sunday, June 12, when tens of millions of Christians from all traditions and denominations will once again pray together. The process begins June 2 with 10 days of united prayer, using an excellent prayer guide that can be downloaded from the GDOP website listed below. Also, please be sure to tune into the international broadcast from Jacksonville. You can view the GDOP Broadcast live on June 11, 2011  6:00 pm USA Eastern Standard Time at "God TV" and other networks to  be announced. Visit  http://www.god.tv/tunein/  on  how and where to tune in.

We encourage you to rally your church or prayer group to join in this amazing, globe-girdling prayer effort, connecting with tens of millions of other adults, youth and children, asking the One who has all power to bring healing and transformation to our communities, nations and world. All the resources you need are available on the website www.globaldayofprayer.com. Be sure to also register your involvement on that same website.

Enjoy an awesome time in the presence of the Lord that will be used by Him to change the history of our planet!

The following e-mail has the sole purpose of thanking you once again for traveling to our country to participate together in “Two Nations, One Project”. We would like to share with you the wonders and miracles that God has done in just the few days after our historical prayer meeting.

Saturday, in the state of Chiapas, one of the biggest crystal meth labs ever discovered was confiscated.

In the state of Quintana Roo, 10 people belonging to the “Zetas” were detained.

Sunday, in Michoacan, 36 members of the gang “La Familia” were also detained and 11 more died. That same Sunday in Northern Mexico in the state of Sonora, 400 kilos of marihuana were confiscated, and 4 drug dealers were detained.

In another Northern state of Coahuila, one ton of cocaine was confiscated and 4 members of “Los Zetas” were detained.

Thank God for all of these actions where we can see the beginning of what we declared that night of prayer in faith in regards to the peace, freedom, and security of our nations.

Gloria a Dios!
